Some are shocked by my comment, but scripture can be the daily paper, a book, any writing, but scripture God breathed is an entirely different matter
BELOW are eight New Testament texts proving that the 1611 is wrong at 2 Timothy 3:16, indeed the Preface in the 1611 has now been removed, for what reason? perhaps to hide the truth that the translators never claimed their work was without error. The Monarchs in reign over the period of 1380 - 1611 as regards the translations were, Richard II, Henry VIII, Mary I (persecutor of the saints) Elizabeth I and James I
Here is some of the comments from the 'Translators to the Reader' that was in the Original 1611, the English being old can be read with understanding.
'Now to the later we answere: that wee doe not deny, nay wee affirme and auow, that the very meanest translation of the Bible in English, set foorth by men of our profession (for wee haue seene none of theirs of the whole Bible as yet) containeth the word of God, nay, is the word of God. As the Kings Speech which hee vttered in Parliament, being translated into French, Dutch, Italian and Latine, is still the Kings Speech, though it be not interpreted by euery Translator with the like grace, nor peraduenture so fitly for phrase, nor so expresly for sense, euery where. For it is confessed, that things are to take their denomination of the greater part; and a naturall man could say, Verum vbi multi nitent in carmine, non ego paucis offendor maculis, &c. A man may be counter a vertuous man, though hee haue made many slips in his life, (els, there were none vertuous, for in many things we offend all) also a comely man and louely, though hee haue some warts vpon his hand, yea, not onely freakles vpon his face, but also skarres. No cause therefore why the word translated should bee denied to be the word, or forbidden to be currant, notwithstanding that some imperfections and blemishes may be noted in the setting forth of it. For what euer was perfect vnder the Sunne, where Apostles or Apostolike men, that is, men indued with an extraordinary measure of Gods spirit, and priuiledged with the priuiledge of infallibilitie, had not their hand?'
NOTE: For me to be fair and in verity, the translators of the 1611 were working with earlier translations, and much of the 1611 is from William Tyndale. However it may be very likely that their rendering of 2 Timothy 3:16 came from the Bishop's Bible of 1568, which has similiar wording.
WYCLIF 1380 'For al scripture inspirid of God is profitable to teche, to repreue, to chastice, to lerne in riytwisnes, that the
man of God be parfit, lerud to al good werk.' 2 Timothy 3:16,17.
TYNDALE 1534 'For all scripture given by inspiration of God, is profitable to teach, to improve, to amend and to instruct
in righteousness, that the man of God may be perfect and prepared unto all good works.' 2 Timothy 3:16,17.
COVERDALE 1536 'For all scripture given by inspiration of God, is profitable to teach, to improve, to amend and to
instruct in righteousness, that the man of God may be perfect and prepared unto all good works' 2 Timothy 3:16,17.
MATTHEW'S BIBLE 1537 'For all scripture given by inspiration of God, is profitable to teach, to improve, to amend and
to instruct in righteousness, that the man of God may be perfect and prepared unto all good works' 2 Timothy 3:16,17.
CRANMER 1539 'For all scripture given by inspiration of God, is profitable to teach, to improve, to amend and to instruct
in righteousness, that the man of God may be perfect and prepared unto all good works' 2 Timothy 3:16,17.
THE GREAT BIBLE 1540 'All scripture given by inspiration of God, is profitable to teach, to improve, to amend and to
instruct in righteousness, that the man of God may be perfect and prepared unto all good works' 2 Timothy 3:16,17.
DOUAY RHEIMS 1582 'All scripture, inspired of God, is profitable to teach, to reprove, to correct, to instruct in
justice,That the man of God may be perfect, furnished to every good work.' 2 Timothy 3:16,17.
THE ARAMAIC OF THE PESHITTA 'All Scripture written by inspiration of the Holy Spirit is profitable for doctrine, for
reproof, for correction and for instruction in righteousness; So that God's people may become complete, thoroughly
perfected for every good work' 2 Timothy 3:16,17
THE GREAT BIBLE 1540 was the FIRST Authorised Bible, by King Henry VIII

KJV 1611 'All scripture (is) given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for
instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.' 2 Timothy
3:16,17.
NOTE PLEASE:
When a person reads the KJV at 2 Timothy 3:16, they need to ignore the 'is' before (given). It should read 'All scripture
given by inspiration of God.' An even more accurate translation would be, 'All scripture God breathed'

PREFACE The Translators To The Reader 1611 (kjv)
The Preface is I believe, now deliberately left out, to deceive people
LASTLY: It would be remiss of me if I did not make mention of how the majority of these Bibles are themselves in error by using the word 'Easter' at Acts 12:4. The exceptions are the Wyclif and Douay - Rheims, as these come closest by using 'pasch' the correct word is 'Passover.' It is noted that in the Translators to the Reader they comment on the recent translation by the 'papists,' this would be the Douay; yet they themselves used Easter, and show themselves in error. I make point of 2 Timothy 3:16 in the 1611, for it gives a completely different and indeed misleading meaning when compared to the others I have cited, this leads many readers astray.
Even a Liberal Translation of the New Testament 1767 cites 2 Timothy 3:16 as 'All the infpired writings are mofl excellently calculated to promote inilruction, convidion, amendment of life, a clear knowledge of virtue'
thankyou.
